TaylorMade ushered in the era of titanium in driver heads with its Original One MetalWood driver way back in 1979.

It should come as no surprise, then, that even in 2024 TaylorMade drivers like the Qi10 are continuing to shape the sport of golf.

The Qi10 driver has been engineered specifically to balance distance and forgiveness, using a multi-material construction that increases inertia.

Not only does it have a higher MOI than its predecessor, but it features a lower center of gravity projection as well, both of which features boost performance as well as the stability that confers forgiveness.

The lighter weight, 97% carbon crown and redefined 60x Carbon Twist Face together result in weight savings (that enable redistribution) as well as improved energy transfer that also improve performance, in this case, specifically distance.

But, like all golf drivers, these shafts do best when paired with shafts that underscore their performance.

With that said, what are the best TaylorMade shafts for a Qi10 driver? Here’s what TaylorMade recommends.

Fujikura Ventus TR Blue

One of the two main TaylorMade shafts recommended for the Qi10 is the Fujikura Ventus TR Blue.

Though not as aggressive as the Fujikura Ventus Black (or TR Black) the Fujikura Ventus TR Blue offers a solid combination of an ultra-stiff tip and increased torsional stiffness.

At the same time, the Ventus TR Blue still produces a mid-launch profile (albeit with low spin) that can stand up to aggressive swing speeds and tempos.

It is more forgiving than the Ventus TR Black, while still offering mid-low performance and great stability, even in the hands of aggressive golfers.

Which, if you do the math, makes it a good shaft for most players – anyone with a reasonably fast (to fast) swing speed – can swing a Qi10 outfitted with a Ventus TR Blue and expect results that go the distance, pun intended.

Mitsubishi Diamana T+

TaylorMade also recommends the Mitsubishi Diamana T+ as a fit for its Qi10 drivers.

If you’ve never heard of the Diamana T+ till right now, there’s a good reason for it. It is a proprietary shaft that MCA is making specifically for TaylorMade, for pairing with the Qi10.

Like the Fujikura Ventus TR Blue, the Diamana T+ is a mid-launch, low-spin shaft that sits somewhere between the MCA Whiteboard and Blueboard in terms of performance.

The people at MCA have also stated that the Diamana T+ performs similarly to the GT.

So what you can expect is a shaft that’s firm, strong, and stable – all of which pair well with a club head designed to offer the optimal conceivable balance between distance and forgiveness.

Not Sure If These TaylorMade Shafts Are for You?

The truth about outfitting shafts with clubs is that you can only learn so much from reading and extrapolating.

The best thing you can do is work with a professional golf club fitter. Doing so will give you some insight into your swing that you might not have had otherwise, and professional fitters will even be able to make personalized recommendations.

Maybe one of the TaylorMade shafts mentioned here would be good for you and a Qi10 driver, and maybe not. You won’t know till you work with a fitter. For more information about Golf Bags For Sale and Taylormade Stealth 2 Please visit: Dallas Golf Company Inc.
